But when Bear goes to the cupboard to get a bowl, there is the mouse — small and gray and bright-eyed. 文：邦妮·贝克，出生在美国小城一个欢乐、自由、幸福的大家庭。拥有心理学与创意写作学位，乐于体验生活种种可能，当过服务员、店员、实习老师、酒店女佣、打字员、摄影师、记者……作为作家的她，将每一个“小小的自己”写进了她的故事里。关于《大熊遇见小老鼠》，邦尼·贝克说：“有一天， 这只固执的小老鼠突然在我的脑海中钻出来，不肯离去。我实在不愿意承认自己的内心有多像大熊，但我感谢自己生命中遇见的每只可爱的老鼠。”
图：凯迪·麦克唐纳·丹顿，加拿大知名插画家，毕业于多伦多艺术学院，获奖作品超过二十本。和丈夫一同生活在安大略省城郊。温暖明亮的阁楼就是她的工作室。她用钢笔墨水与水彩颜料创作出了如阁楼的阳光一样温暖明亮的《大熊遇见小老鼠》的插图。关于《大熊遇见小老鼠》，她说：“我已经好久不曾遇过像大熊和小老鼠这么有趣的角色了。”
译：邱匀，1984年出生于上海，毕业于复旦大学英语语言文学系。从事多年图书版权与翻译工作。童年时，外公的书房就是她的后花园，也希望大熊和小老鼠的故事可以让更多孩子爱上阅读。
