我们上述这些对叙述的第三个层次即对小说“世界”（其情节、人物和背景）察结果主要是由小说得来的；但是，应该知道，这种观察也同样适用于作为学/品的戏剧。第四个也是最后一个层次是“形而上的性质”，它是和“世界”关的，和“对待生活的态度”或暗含在这个世界中的“调子”是同一的东但是，这一层次的性质将留待我们探讨文学的评价问题时再做详细的考察。
